Sorry? I don't ever remember saying something like this. Do you have a link?

I have opposed dedicating an entire Drupal release (such as Drupal 8) to clean-up and disallowing new features for fear of losing contributor motivation. But I've obviously no problem feature freezing Drupal 7 on the code freeze date. ;)
